Information for researchers

Data from the Children’s School Lives Study will provide a rich and unique data base of interest to the national and international research community. The CSL team is committed to building capacity in research about children’s school lives.

Data Archiving

Data will continuously be archived over time for secondary data analysis.  We are in the process of archiving anonymised data from the first waves.  Please contact csl@ucd.ie with any queries about data use.

We are always interested in hearing from people interested in completing their PhD or Post doctoral studies with the CSL team.

CSL Primary School study

Internships

The CSL project is ongoing giving rise to internship opportunities in data entry and analysis. Please contact the CSL team for more details.

Research Design

The CSL study uses a cross- sequential longitudinal design, producing a rich
set of mixed methods data. This is generated through a nationally representative quantitative study and in-depth case studies of a sub-sample of schools.
